presence

With enlightenment there comes a presence. This presence is the result of awareness becoming focussed in the present moment. Consciousness becomes concentrated in the here and now. This can be felt. Not just in the enlightened ones but anyone who in the moment is present here, now, not with thoughts taking them to the past or future, but their full attention right here, now: with this comes a sense of presence, felt by others around but also felt inwardly within oneself; one’s own presence, felt as an intensity of energy.

It is paradoxical isn’t it: The sense of oneself as a separate being has disappeared and yet the intensity of energy, of consciousness, is vastly increased. It is this concentrated energy, concentrated consciousness, which we call presence.

And this presence carries with it a sense of fulfilment; fulfilment in the present moment here and now, without regard to past or future, without reference to ambitions or hopes, expectations, desires, no. One can be fulfilled without any of these, fulfilled by your own presence, by the presence of existence flowing through you, as you.

Allow this presence to come to you, for it is a wholeness of your being. It is a great integration of your energy. When your inner fragmentation has melted away, without doing anything else, this presence will come upon you. Allow it. It is a benediction in itself.
